Imagine the Smiles with 1-800-FLOWERS and Secret Sandy!
April 15 – 26, 2013*
Secret Sandy and our friends at 1-800-Flowers.com / Imagine the Smiles are proud to recognize and honor those very special people who helped individuals, families, and communities renew, rebuild, and move forward from the devastation that Superstorm Sandy left behind.
As the end of April marks six months of recovery from Superstorm Sandy, 1-800-Flowers.com / Imagine the Smiles want to send these local and unsung heroes a COMPLIMENTARY bouquet of appreciation on your behalf.
Which of these people helped you and your family during and after Superstorm Sandy (and who are those who continue to help you today)?
- The principals who worked day and night to get your children’s schools reopened;
- The teachers who made the temporarily transferred students feel right at home and who welcomed returning students with warm and open arms;
- The family members who opened their homes and kept your and your children safe during the storm;
- The neighbors who looked out for your homes, got your mail, and kept watch over the community when so many were displaced;
- The understanding boss who gave you whatever extra days and time you needed to get you and your family back on your feet;
- The co-workers who chipped in time, money, and resources to help you during your time of need;
- The local NYPD and FDNY who served and protected;
- The doctors and nurses who treated those who were sick or injured;
- The volunteers who distributed goods
